The Price of God's Miracle Working Power by A. A. Allen

The famous tent evangelist of the 1950s, A.A. Allen, felt a call from God to bring the miraculous power of God to the forefront of his ministry. However, there was one problem: he had never produced a miracle before. Determined, he sought God until He revealed the conditions that needed to be met for Allen to receive the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit that the early apostles carried. The Call of Jesus: finding the person of peace by Torben Søndergaard

The words of Jesus still have the power to change the world and set people free. Unfortunately, the problem we have seen over the last 2000 years is that religion and the traditions of men have been slowly pulling people away from the simple truth and original call of Jesus. "The Call of Jesus," by Torben Søndergaard, is like an easy to understand "instruction manual" pulled from Scripture to help us effectively live the life to which Jesus has called us. Using Jesus' words in Luke chapter 10, Torben refreshingly reveals that Jesus' message was not only for His disciples and those who lived during that period of time, but it is also for all of us who are living today. Will you heed "The Call of Jesus"?

Pagan Christianity?: Exploring the Roots of Our Church Practices by Frank Viola and George Barna

Have you ever wondered why we Christians do what we do for church every Sunday morning? Why do we “dress up” for church? Why does the pastor preach a sermon each week? Why do we have pews, steeples, and choirs? This ground-breaking book, makes an unsettling proposal: most of what Christians do in present-day churches is rooted, not in the New Testament, but in pagan culture and rituals developed long after the death of the apostles. Coauthors Frank Viola and George Barna support their thesis with compelling historical evidence and extensive footnotes that document the origins of modern Christian church practices. In the process, the authors uncover the problems that emerge when the church functions more like a business organization than the living organism it was created to be. As you reconsider Christ's revolutionary plan for his church―to be the head of a fully functioning body in which all believers play an active role―you'll be challenged to decide whether you can ever do church the same way again.

The School of the Seers Expanded Edition: A Practical Guide on how to see in The Unseen Realm by Jonathan Welton

This is Jeremy’s favorite book on the prophetic. School of the Seers not only provides practical teaching on how to operate in the prophetic but also includes activation exercises to help you put your learning into practice. As the Bible calls us to be doers of the word, not just hearers, this approach is essential. All believers filled with the Holy Spirit have the potential to hear from God, prophesy, and see visions. This book will help you develop these gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life, becoming an asset to God’s church.

“Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” — 1 Corinthians 14:1

The Last Reformation: Back to the New Testament Model of Discipleship by Torben Søndergaard

Much of what we see expressed in the church today is built on more than just the New Testament. It's built, instead, mostly on the Old Testament, Church culture, and Paganism. It is therefore imperative that we as God's people dare to stop and take a closer look at the Church today and compare it to the first Church we read about in the Bible. If we are to succeed in making disciples of all nations then we must go back to the "template" we find in the Bible. Let the reformation begin!

The Epic of Eden: A Christian Entry into the Old Testament by Sandra Richter

Does your knowledge of the Old Testament feel like a grab bag of people, books, events and ideas? How many times have you resolved to really understand the OT? To finally make sense of it? Perhaps you are suffering from what Sandra Richter calls the "dysfunctional closet syndrome." A closet full of useful things but highly disorganized. If so, she has a solution. Like a home-organizing expert, Richter comes in and helps you straighten out your cluttered closet. In The Epic of Eden, Richter does an incredible job of organizing the story of redemptive history through a progressive covenant timeline.

A Time to Build: Revival, The Church, and God's Eternal Purpose by Robert Gladstone

Revival is not God’s ultimate goal for His people… the biblical church is God’s ultimate goal! And we live in a season when God is calling the body of Christ to return to its New Testament roots. This book is a prophetic declaration that helps us hear that call and put it into practical action. In A Time to Build, Bob Gladstone offers clarity on the church’s identity in light of modern revivals and God’s overall plan for history. During seasons of outpouring we experience divine visitation, yet God’s purpose is to move from visitation to habitation. We must build the house for God to inhabit!

The western church needs this habitation like never before. We can no longer afford “church” to be a Sunday event or consumer-driven corporation. It is time to shift church back to its biblical identity. It is time for a Jesus Movement. It is time to build the House of the Lord!
